Meet your Teacher
I’m originally from Canada and have been living abroad for over 30 years. Through teaching English in schools, universities, and businesses, I’ve developed a passion for connecting with people from different backgrounds and creating welcoming spaces where everyone feels supported.
Yoga has helped me find balance, mindfulness, and connection through life’s many transitions. Living across cultures, learning Japanese, and life as a military spouse have taught me to embrace change, stay present, and find belonging wherever I go.
Whether through yoga or English, my hope is to create a welcoming space where you can build confidence, learn, grow, and connect—one step at a time. ~Nancy
Why Sola Oga?
Sola Oga is inspired by the Japanese word sora (空), meaning sky—a symbol of openness, possibility, and connection.
Just as we all share the same sky, yoga and language have the power to bring people together.
